I started the book not knowing it was this long, if i knew, i probably wouldn't be reading it right now. But I must say, it is really an interesting story. Still haven't finished it, but these are some of my thoughts.

So right now im at chapter 17, which focuses on the story of Aomame. I just realized that her secret side job as an assassin, of men who have abused women, refers to the worldwide question: "is the death penalty okay or not?". She is killing these men, taking away their right to life, because unacceptable actions. I quote the dowager who said: "If he had lived, he eventually would have done the same kind of thing to other women". While this might be true, I still believe she doesn't have the right to kill him. In doing so, she becomes just as bad as he is, if not even worse. You can't solve a problem by being the problem....more
