Like I said I was scared but finally took the plunge into ToG.

Celaena Sardothien, the protagonist, instantly captured my admiration with her sheer badassery. I mean come on that name rolls off the tongue and I can't help but wish I had a name like that! Celaena stands out as a formidable force in the fantasy genre. Sarah J. Maas (SJM) masterfully crafts her female leads, and Celaena is no exception. Her strength, resilience, and complexity set a high bar, making her a memorable character. Feyre who?!?! Just joking. Both series have such amazing badass female protagonists. Celaena's fierceness and sharp wit carved a unique space for her in my literary heart.

One of the intriguing aspects of ToG is the romantic tension between Celaena and the two male leads, Chaol Westfall and Dorian Havilliard. Throughout the book, I found myself torn between the two, constantly switching my allegiance. Chaol's loyalty and Dorian's charming charisma create a compelling dynamic that keeps readers guessing and invested in their relationships with Celaena. I mean now I have to know who will she choose. I don't evny her for having to make that decision. The love triangle is well-executed, adding depth to the narrative without overshadowing Celaena's personal journey.

SJM's ability to weave action, emotion, and descriptive world-building keeps the reader's eyes glued to the pages. Her vivid descriptions immerse you in the world of Erilea, making every scene come alive. Whether it's a heart-pounding battle or a quiet moment of introspection, SJM's writing never fails to evoke strong emotions.

Starting the "Throne of Glass" series was a decision I don't regret. Sarah J. Maas has cemented herself as an auto-buy author for me. Her storytelling prowess, combined with her knack for creating complex, relatable characters, makes her books a must-read. "Throne of Glass" is a thrilling start to what promises to be an epic series, and I am eager to see where Celaena's journey takes her next.

For fans of strong female protagonists, intricate plots, and a touch of romance, "Throne of Glass" is a must-read. While it shares some thematic elements with ACOTAR, it stands firmly on its own, offering a fresh and exhilarating adventure.
