"A captivating journey so far. Discussion of early, primitive substitution ciphers was quite interesting.
Singh's description of wars and the pivotal role crypto played in them was gripping and breathtaking.

Can't wait to see what he's got to say about modern computers and cryptography..."

"Holmes has always held a special place in my heart. After all, it was him with whom I had started reading English books.

I took the book up with a bit of hesitation... "will Adrian Doyle live up to his father?" Well, I for one, being hardly knowledgeable about literature and its finer aspects, felt right at home with the new Holmes.

Same Holmes, same Watson, same old 221B! Hoping remaining stories are as good.."

Jack Thorne
“The truth is a beautiful and terrible thing, and should therefore be treated with great caution.”
Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts One and Two

Scott Meyer
“The sound of Inchgower unzipping his fly in preparation for “the quench” was cartoonishly loud and out of place. “But he went to the trouble to dig up the sound of a fly unzipping,” Tyler whined. “That’s just great. Never mind that there’s no way a Dark Ages blacksmith would even have a zipper.”
Scott Meyer, An Unwelcome Quest

Scott Meyer
“It's a spider!" Tyler yelling again. "What else can it do? Did you teach it kung fu?!"

Phillip leaned to Garry and said, "Ooh, a spider that knows kung fu. That'd actually be quite cool, wouldn't it? I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of an eight-legged roundhouse kick."

Gary said, "Nah, man. Aren't you listening? Spiders have two legs and six arms."

Jimmy said, "That's octopuses."

Gary rolled his eyes. "And octopuses are the spider of the sea. Come on, keep up, guys."

Jimmy was about to respond when he, Gary, and Philip became aware that both Tyler and Todd were staring at them.

"Sorry," Jimmy said. "We'll discuss this later. Please, continue bickering.”
Scott Meyer, An Unwelcome Quest

Edwin A. Abbott
“It fills all Space, and what It fills, It is. What It thinks, that It utters; and what It utters, that It hears; and It itself is Thinker, Utterer, Hearer, Thought, Word, Audition; it is the One, and yet the All in All. Ah, the happiness, ah, the happiness of Being!”
Edwin A. Abbott, Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions

Scott Meyer
“Unfortunately, human nature dictated that anything, no matter how pleasant it is, can become hateful if you feel you must do it. Just ask anyone who’s ever entered a pie-eating contest.”
Scott Meyer, An Unwelcome Quest
