"First off, the pic for this book has flowers but mine has lightning; not important but it bothers me. Second, I liked the authors introduction. It talked about how Mary Shelly came up with the idea and touched briefly on her thoughts on it. Also that section, while written 14 years later, was more difficult to read than the actual text. "I barely started the book but it already has multiple POVs, torture, murder, gods, and slaves. I’m excited but scared. Orka gives off the vibe that she’s seen some shit, while Varg is trying to do a magical ritual. Man this place is tough.
