Maya, I wish I could wrap you in the biggest hug. This entire series is breathtaking beyond words, but Benji and Nolan, oh, they own my heart completely. I said it in my first review, and I’ll say it again: Maya makes me believe in true love.

I saw so much of myself in Nolan, and it wrecked me in the best and most painful ways. The part that cut the deepest? His struggle to allow himself to feel. When you experience emotions so profoundly, so intensely, it’s terrifying to give them power, to let them consume you when all you want is to stay in control. This book doesn’t shy away from the rawness of that struggle. It’s deep. It’s real. Nolan’s darkness is vast, but even in that suffocating void, a small light flickered. And that light was Benji.

Benji saw Nolan, not just the pain, not just the brokenness, but the man beneath it all. The man who longed to feel something other than emptiness. The man who desperately wanted to be free of his own shadows. And in loving him, Benji didn’t just illuminate Nolan’s world, he gave him permission to step into the light.

What made this journey even more special was the presence of the entire cast from the previous books. They were there, unwavering in their love and support, reminding Benji that he didn’t have to carry everything alone. That it was okay to lean on them, just as he was helping to shoulder Nolan’s pain. They saw him, they loved him, and they wanted to take some of that weight off his shoulders. His health, his well being, his ability to be supported mattered just as much. And thankfully, he found the strength to lean into that love, to accept that his found family was there for him, just as he was there for Nolan.

I’m also so grateful that Trevor found his own happiness because, in doing so, he unknowingly paved the way for Benji to walk into Nolan’s life. My heart ached for Nolan, but by the end, it soared for both of them. Their love, their healing, their happily ever after, it was everything. Absolutely stunning. ...more "
