"So far I like it better than Poppy Wars. Its a clear improvement. The side characters are far more interesting and have a more presence.

The plot is far more engaging.

Rin for me, remains a weak protagonist. I understand its the 'Empire Strikes Back' effect and Book Twos should be a set back but the humiliation ritual Rin is put through is frankly... frustrating.
