To be honest, it was kind of cliché for that to happen because Juliette was described as a very power The third book didn't really go as I expect it to be, sure the female character has faced the most dangerous person of mankind in this book- Warner. To be honest, it was kind of cliché for that to happen because Juliette was described as a very powerful female figure in the first two books but Mafi turned the table upside down smoothly on the second book although it didn't really meet my expectation. Another main reason why I didn't exactly give this a 4 star is the weird 'LYHFML' (iykyk) part, I thought it was necessary and it makes me believe that this is the only reason why this book has gone super viral throughout the year, to me, I think the whole purpose of this series itself is to show how a female lead can also be as powerful as she is against men kind even after being trapped in a asylum alone and being called by different names AND with a bad childhood experience with her parents, the whole romance part sort of just took that role away from Juliette because no matter what she face, Aaron will always be there for her. Can't a women be as powerful by herself even without a partner? And not to mention, the self-pity was quite a problem that was mentioned many times in the book and it was there just because no one understood her pain. The enemies to lovers, however was great but it could use some slow burn and build up on explaining why she choose to side with the antagonist, yes, Adam was a bad person but Juliette also didn't make a clear explanation to him on the first book of why he couldn't get close to her, the lack of communication was frustrating and everyone in the fandom was siding up against him because he was forcing Juliette too much to use her power, yes is annoying but he only wanted answer. A clear and perceived explanation. The only point that was made on why Juliette loves Warner was that he's the only one who understood her powers being too dangerous and he's the only one who could touch her and that is probably it, maybe the love could go the same way with Adam and Juliette if only she speaks to him. For my overall to conclude this review, I believe that Tahereh has done a wonderful job on writing the perspective of the protagonist's side of the story. ...more "
