I would recommend this book to anyone who has read Eragon. Eldest basically begins where Eragon left off, at the Alagasian Mountains. After Broms death, Eragon and Saphira begin to set out on their own. A v Eldest Josh Tyler

I would recommend this book to anyone who has read Eragon. Eldest basically begins where Eragon left off, at the Alagasian Mountains. After Broms death, Eragon and Saphira begin to set out on their own. A very mysterious man named Murtagh who happens to be a swordsman joins them. No I can’t predict the ending and I still don’t know the ending. With Brom dead Eragon will have to learn the ancient language on his own. I would have to say my favorite character in Eldest would be Eragon; he is determined to avenge his Uncle’s death. My least favorite character in Eldest would be Murtagh; because I think he is the son of the dragon rider who betrayed all the others and helped Galbotorix to claim the throne. As Eragon, Murtagh, and Sahpira finally set out still avoiding the evil Ra’zac, they have to manage to make it to the Varden; a hidden rebel organization in the Beor Mountains. What kept me reading Eldest was the suspense of Eragon fighting Galbatorix. As they begin to fight off the kings puppets known as Urgals which are a sort of creature like human thing. Allies of the Dwarfs, the Varden king and his daughter are more than excited to finally see a Dragon Rider fighting against the evil king of Alagasia; Galbatorix. Honestly, I think the author wrote Eldest to keep the trilogy alive. Eragon is a very popular book for teenagers. Eragon is sent to an elf stronghold called, Ellesmera to learn more about being a Dragon Rider. While at Ellesmera Eragon and Saphira surprisingly meet another dragon rider and dragon, from which they learn what they need to know. The portion of the book that captured my attention the most was when they found another dragon rider. Meanwhile Eragons cousin, Roan comes back to Carvahall to find his father dead and Eragon missing. So he leads what is left of his village away to safety.

This book made me want to go on an adventure! It pulls you in and makes you want to be a part of it. My favorite line from the book would be “BRISINGER!” which means the element fire in their ancient language. If Eldest was made into a movie I think John Malkovich would be a good actor to play the role of the evil king Galbotorix. Tom Cruise would be a good actor to play the role of Murtagh. I think Viggo Mortenson would be good for the character Roan. I like Orlando Bloom for the role of Eragon. ...more "
