When I started the book, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was getting myself into. I mean, a world where science is freed from the tyranny of mathematics and experimentation? That’s either genius or madness. Spoiler alert: it’s a glorious mix of both! Professor Bagdenborg, with his “fentologic,” guides us into a realm where reasoning doesn’t just walk—it flies, dives, and somersaults with the wings of imagination.

I loved how the book embraced its quirkiness unapologetically. The fictitious scientific discoveries, hilariously narrated and often sprinkled with sly humor, made me laugh and think simultaneously. Sury doesn’t just write; he plays with ideas. The “Fi-sci” (fictitious science) concepts had me scratching my head one moment and grinning the next. It’s a celebration of curiosity—where asking “what if” takes precedence over getting the “right” answer.

What stood out for me was the book's tone. It doesn’t talk down to readers, nor does it take itself too seriously. Instead, it welcomes you into its eccentric universe, where logic gets redefined and humor keeps things light. Even though some parts were dense and theoretical, they were never overwhelming, thanks to the playful narrative.

Fentoscience reminded me of why I love books that challenge conventions. It isn’t about whether the science holds up in the “real” world. It’s about letting your imagination run wild, about embracing absurdity and seeing where it takes you. For someone like me, who enjoys thinking beyond the conventional (and occasionally getting lost in it), this book was an absolute treat.

If you’ve ever been curious about physics, the universe, or just want a fresh perspective on “what could be,” I’d recommend diving into this with an open mind. It’s not a book you “read”; it’s a book you experience.
