"Hasn't revealed his "sickness" yet so feels tragically slow. Waiting for the ramba zamba (cuz horror waits and I'm nervous!!). Lots of pitiful romance but darkness lives for it and it's still beautiful" — Jan 11, 2026 12:51PM

"Love that it doesn't attempt to over explain things. Makes sense for children's books to avoid cynicism so ++ fav tale so far is the boy and his horse (4 books left). Lame the witch isnt in the rest but leaves plenty room to infer beyond. It basically reflects an unknown rule its like religion its like testing moral w/o a doctrine hence why stories like this can be so impressive. Not as much if it wasn't mythical" — Dec 30, 2025 11:33PM
