"Please, please, please read the Iliad! Oh my word, I cannot stress it enough! The words are absolutely delectable, and you will physically sigh, squeal, groan, and say so many lines out loud! The war is sometimes graphic, but I absolutely cannot get over the characters! The selfishness and humility in them all just cannot be beat! The Odyssey is also amazing so far! More on that later, though. :D" Jan 03, 2026 07:13PM

“I am convinced that when Nietzsche came to Switzerland and went insane, it was not because of venereal disease, though he did have this disease. Rather, it was because he understood that insanity was the only philosophic answer if the infinite-personal God does not exist.”
Francis A. Schaeffer, How Should We Then Live? The Rise and Decline of Western Thought and Culture

“Doing the right thing even when no one is looking is easy if I remember that I am not in this life alone and that my task is to please God... not people.”
Sandra C. Bibb

Francis A. Schaeffer, How Should We Then Live?: The Rise and Decline of Western Thought and Culture

Charles W. Colson
“How magnificently has God honored the covenant of our forefathers. How richly has he blessed our nation. So deep are our religious roots, but so far have we strayed.”
Charles W. Colson, Born Again
