I loved that going into this book I did not know too much about Gareth and Kayden other than seeing Gareth in the LOG series and seeing Kayden briefly in GOF because I went into this book blind. I also did not set any expectations into this book because I wanted to go into it with an open mind.

rina portrayed Gareth's mental state PERFECTLY. I felt like I was inside of his brain and I also loved how delusional he was and obsessed with himself. I did not know that this was the Gareth that I was going to be reading about because in the other books he is this "golden boy", the perfect son and the complete opposite of Kill. how wrong I was. ugh my baby boy he is so raw and I loved seeing his other side that he kept from the world. he really is a complex character and you see that in this book. his obsession runs DEEP and seeing why he became that was so sad. he must be protected at all costs.

Kayden, the sexy professor I really did not have a problem with him other than the manipulation and the lying he did with Gareth because there was an ulterior motive as to him meeting him. I also thought it was great that she made a criminal be a criminal law professor I thought that was interesting as well and I love anything that has to do with the law since that is what im studying hehe.

I really loved their dynamic. the possessiveness from both sides. like these men are possessive of each other. Gareth is quite literally OBSESSED w Kayden like this man will take anyone out for him. he is also so clingy when it comes to him (which I love because same) but he can't breathe if he is not touching him in any capacity or if he is away from him for too long. I love that Gareth found someone that he could be his true self with and he found someone that he does not have to change for. Kayden embraces his insane part because they both have a darkness inside themselves. the villain and the monster. I loveddddd seeing my babies even if it was briefly. I feel like Gareth was struggling with his sexuality the same way that Brandon was in GOF but that is THE ONLY SIMILARITY between KTV & GOF. this book is no that in any capacity and if that is your mindset before going into this then you will be disappointed. and to those who compared or tried to compare this book to GOF like....are we reading the same book bc this is not it.

I cannot wait for the next book I was eating the vaughn crumbs up and I am excited to see her new hockey series as well hehe. rina will always be an auto-buy author for me and this was another good book!

highlights:
- Kayden counting Gareth's freckles....I DIED OMG I DIED THIS WAS SO CUTE
- them being cat dads to Moka and Gareth telling him that they can get more siblings for her
- the fact that this man bought strawberries and kept it in his fridge for Gareth and not only that he bought EVERYTHIng strawberry flavored for him
- when Gareth took care of Kayden while he was sick
- the spice.....HOLY HOTNESS
- how Kayden bought him everything he wanted in his house
- them watching Korean soap operas together
- them cuddling on the couch with Moka

ahhh I love them
