If you can look past this, the plot is okay and makes you want to continue at least for a little bit longer but there is a lot problems which could be fixed.

There isn’t enough detail given and leaves the readers wondering what is happening in the scene. For example, they’re making dinner, well what did they make? He does so much good. What good has he done? He asked her to wear more skirts and dresses. Did she go and buy some? You never find out if she does so for him. You know what Sephie kinda looks like but what about the other characters other than their nationality. Don’t get me started on the changing of the seasons but it doesn’t real change season.

There is also details which are unbelievable. Sephie learned to speak fluent Russian and read it in like 4 months. She is a better cook than a seasoned chef. She just magic.

Also, the writer struggles with conflict. There is one difficult conversation where Adrik is frustrated with Sephie for not being open. It reaches peak frustration then there really isn’t a completion to the problem. It’s almost like the author skipped a few chapters. I kept flipping back to see if I missed a chapter.

The book has a lot of repetitiveness with repeated chapters giving their POV on the same scene. It’s like they can’t figure out who’s perspective they like. So, they give them all which is unnecessary.

Like many others, it’s hard to get past the author’s ego. They have an ego of a Pulitzer Award winner but an unpublished book with potential but needs editing. They will berate readers for asking simple questions and perceive the reader as demanding or overly critical when they state the author can improve in area. I would get it if they were frustrated as New York Bestselling novelist receiving undue criticism but they’re not. They paint those who dislike parts or offer a word such as please do better proofreading as being jealous of their success which in reality the person enjoys the story and wants to see the author improve.

Some people say the author is man but I think the author is a female who has always been on the outside and never fit in. Additionally, the author is immature too. A grown up doesn’t act like they do. I think the author struggles in their insecurities which is why they call everyone else insecure or jealous.

To the Author:
As someone who has published, negative criticism should be used to fuel you and make you better. If you cannot take criticism from your reader base or even an editor who enjoys your work, you’re going to struggle. Look past yourself and understand you can improve. Be willingly to listen to others and critically think about the comment. Is there something which can help, then use it, if not disregard it. Stop tearing down your readers.

You are likely losing more readers than you’re gaining with your attitude.

Remember never to bite the hand which feeds you. (Don’t be overly critical of your readers or you might lose them as pride always comes before the fall).

You have potential but if you cannot deal with criticism it will be hard to build a reader base who is willing to spend money on your books instead of pirating them. People who don’t like you will not feel bad reading a pirated copy to keep you from benefiting from it. They will do so gladly and tell others how to do so.
