"The first three chapters….so sad 😢 I appreciate Jane’s depth of character at such a young age. Shoutout to Mr.Lyold for doing something positive for the child." — May 28, 2024 01:38PM

"Reading this one for my book club! It’s my first read via audiobook. Currently on chapter 8. Frankie is an army nurse during the Vietnam war. She was raised in a Navy family. Only the men enlisted. Women were expected to marry and have children. As an act of defiance towards her parents and also with the hope of following her brother to war she enlists. She is faced with the shocking truths of war very quickly." — May 25, 2024 12:20PM

"The themes are so complex it’s hard to describe. I’ve never read a book that somehow mixes theology and science fiction. The characters are so complex and rich. Each has a unique back story that lead them to the mission to Rakhat. They’ve landed in Rakhat in the past and Emilio is starting to regain his strength both physically and mentally in the future." — Mar 03, 2024 09:21AM
