generous, kind, understanding, witty and the two hetero leads are super attractive of course. (A kid’s picture book has more complicated characters btw)

ONE (and ONLY one) exception is the very bad man!! He’s just awful!! Every few chapters there will be nastiness!! Yucky!

But then it’s back to the perfect clichéd Vermont village with every citizen just the peachiest!! Everyone gets along and there are no problems!! Now, is this just a ‘guy thing’? Is it just me?
I mean . . . SO much information about how to do an easy bathroom design or quirky but brilliant garden ornament. So Amazing!! Honestly, our heroine is the absolute best at everything!! Creative design, creative bartending, people skills. You name it.
Except - oh the hilarity!! - her cooking! But she’ll surprise herself with something she’s made and it’s Just Awesome!!! I swear this plot is so thin, - without the discussions about drapery patterns and powder room make-overs and cocktail or cake recipes and the gushing delightful praise from all the friendly and flawless folks who populate Westbridge - the story could be accomplished in 4 pages. Suspense is completely suspended in lieu of learning about the clever coffee ice-cubes in cold cappuccinos. And everyone reacting with the classic “Why didn’t I think of that!” Really, Morgan is just So Amazing!!! Everything is Just Amazing!! And awesome!!

Except the bad guy. He’s awful!!

I am almost to the end and I’m going to make it I think. But I’m very concerned - not about Morgan’s fate, I’m sure she’ll be fine - but that there is a wedding which will be described in excruciating detail and it’s going to be SUPER AMAZING!!!! The flowers!! The dresses!! The perfect rings!!! Oh mercy I’m going to cry.
Or throw up.

Maybe the bad guy will spoil the wedding
I really really hope so.

But I do have to say that the narrator in this audio production is masterful in her ability to voice each character! Seriously excellent
6 stars for her!! 1 for this “thriller”. ...more "
