"This guy was already difficult to root for (stubborn, rude, they gave him a puppy to make him more likable but it didn’t work) and now we’re also adding the additional obstacle that he has a dark past as a war criminal? Ok yes Violet is too but she’s a lot easier to root for. I’m all for morally gray main characters but this guy needs all the help he can get. Maybe i’ll change my mind!
