" WHAT A FUCKING BOOK!!!!!!!!

dark academia at its finest (i dont know if im using that word right). im at a loss for words but ill try my best in this review.

strong beginning. that is not an understatement. it presents to you this big murder plot and WHAT A FUCKING BOOK!!!!!!!!

strong beginning. that is not an understatement. it presents to you this big murder plot and introduces you to the character, bunny, but doesnt reveal its hand until the middle. even after that, it somehow holds your attention even after the murder and how the whole group stays together. i was always on edge on if charles was going to go to police or not but no.. their secret remains a secret. with two dead but all of them injured severely (mentally or physically). they all have sad endings and theyre all morally grey characters (except camilla, ill argue). i love that you cant argue for or against their character but ppl will do what they want!

this book will permanently change my brain with tartt’s amazing writing. the way she uses imagery and her flow throughout every chapter amazes me. its no understatement how amazing this book is and how it holds you and shakes you at every moment. it had its funny, serious, and beautiful moments.

its sad how richard isnt really cared for by the group, always left out of stuff and almost every plan. most of the time, he doesnt even know shit unless someone like richard or charles lets him in on stuff. hes an outsider. he knows this and it literally shows till the end when nobody gaf when he got shot.. im crying its funny and pitiful. i, the reader, would expect him to be above the group and whatnot but hes really isnt… henry being the mastermind and literally leaving trails for richard, the mice, to figure out everything makes me laugh. i know if i was in his position though… well i wouldnt even have gotten involved with this isolated greek group!

i could go on and on about how much i love this book and the observations i made but i think its time i end this. i could not reread this unless im 5 years in the future. it was a very long book and took me an entire month to finish, even with multiple class periods spent reading it BTW. super worth it though. might read more of donna tartt idkkkk anyways. go read this book if u havent! ...more "
