This book was surprising. I went in thinking it would be similar to the movie Little Italy but with a Jewish twist but it offered so much more than a family feud trope. These characters grow so much in just 375 pages and I felt extremely connected to them and their lived experience. I also loved how the author was able to explore Jewish customs and culture in a digestible way for those who are not part of the community. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a holiday read that offers more than a simple love story!
