"This is a fairly decent book. It goes by really quickly and it's very action-packed. I like how the book is kind of mysterious as in it slowly gives you more information about the characters and their lifestyles so your perception of the characters is changing constantly. He got scared so he threw the shoes off the bridge. The shoes hit Stanley Yelnats in the head. The cops took Stanley to a court, he got to choose between Camp Greenlake, and going to jail. Like all of us would, he chose Camp Greenlake. When Stanley got there it was not what he thought it would be. They dug holes everywhere. When they would take a shower, they would only get four minutes of cold water. They did get one good thing from the cold water, it was so hot at Camp Greenlake. Also, the Greeenlake wasn't a lake, it was dried out. After a while Stanley realized that they were not digging to teach them a lesson. They were digging because Mr.Sir and the Warden are looking for something. But what? Treasure. There once was a African American slave. He fell in love with a girl who was not a slave. They loved each other very much. One day someone found out. That was bad back then, you were not supposed to do that. So they killed him. That same day it stared the drought, no rain ever again. The lake dried up. she sat there next to her boat, a guy and a girl walked up to her they said to tell them were the treasure was. They said they would shot if she didn't. Right then a poison filled lizard came up next to her. She finally got what she wanted, to see her Sam. The lizard bit her wrist. Zero got tired being there so he ran away and nobody stopped him. Later when they were getting water from Mr.Sir, Stanley walked up to the truck and stole it. But he didn't get to far. He ran it into a hole. So he just ran, he ran looking hoping to find Zero. He found him inside a boat half way. He ran a little bit faster. When he got there Zero looked up happy t see him. He showed him under the boat. There was sploosh as Zero called it. They drank it then got on a move on. They went a the Thumb Of God Stanley's family member climbed. zero couldn't climb so Stanley carried him. They finally got to the top. When they got up the mountain they found food and water. They left there and dug one last hole. They found the treasure! The had to sit still because there was those lizards all over them. When they finally got out Stanley's parents were there to get him. Zero didn't have parents. Stanley wouldn't leave without Zero. So they took him. Stanley helped zero find his mom. He found her. ...more "
