What is Cherub for those who have not read it before: Cherub is a secret organisation which recruits orphaned children to go under-cover on dangerous missions all over the world. Cherub Agents are trained how to fight and surviv in the wilderness, but they still have to go to a school based in the Cherub Campus.I am currently reading The General the 10th novel in the Cherub series by British author Robert Muchamore. The main character in the novel, like it's predecessors is James Adams. At the beginning of the novel James is currently on a mission. James has been sent undercover to infiltrate the SAG (Street Action Group). Cherub agents are suspecting the main leader of SAG ( Chris Bradford)is planning to turn the group into a terrorism based group. A few pages into the novel James is sent to a street riot or parade set up by SAG, but only about 20 people turned up ,unlike the previous summer in Birmingham where thousands of rioters turned up. The SAG members are grouped up in a pen of yellow-tape. There are only a few police-officers because not many SAG members have turned up. After a while the police-officers are getting frustrated at the embarrassing amount of SAG members at the street riot/march, but SAG leader Chris Bradford has planned this all along. As soon as the police order the SAG members to go home hundreds of SAG members appear from the side streets. There are only two-dozen police to control over four-hundred rioters. After a while the riot gets out of control and people start smashing windows of cars and shops. Meanwhile back at the Cherub campus Jmaes younger sister Lauren is planning a mission with her friend Bethany, Bethany's younger brother Jake and Laurens Boyfriend Rat. They are planning to infiltrate an air control center at an Air port.

I am currently up to page 97 on the general so far i am really enjoying it. At this stage Lauren is still on the mission at the air traffic control centre they're mission was to break into it and completely ramsack the place. this was just a training mission for the younger cherubs lauren is with including kevin,rat,ronan,jake and bethany, after they finish smashing up the centre the police are notified and the cherubs have to flee. this is where i am up to now. overall i like the cherub series because it is a more grown up version of alex rider, some parts were a bit slow and boring but it picked up towards the end which was good, 5 stars! ...more "
