This is something that I think about frequently in my life with my dad. It’s why I’m so grateful to have Dylan as a partner because he understands the shift in your dad changing as he’s older. It’s been frustrating in the past to tell others how my dad is and the response be, “well he doesn’t seem that bad to me.” Or “he’s nice to me” and I’m lowkey like gaslighting myself thinking I’m wrong but I’m not!!!
