"Just when I thought my life was finally coming together.... there's more tension. I have a love/hate relationship with how authors have so much power over me <3" Nov 12, 2025 02:17PM

"It started off with good action, but the only two characters I really care about are Fisher and Onyx. The irritated attraction between FMC and MMC is way too obvious and predictable. Painfully cliché. The amount of times the F word is used makes me think they don’t own thesauruses for different exclamations or adjectives." Sep 07, 2025 02:17AM

Alexandre Dumas
“Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine! Then the fates will know you as we know you”
Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo

“I don’t think man was meant to attain happiness so easily. Happiness is like those palaces in fairy tales whose gates are guarded by dragons: we must fight in order to conquer it.”
Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo

Jennifer Kropf
“You’d never catch your breath if I took all the kisses I wanted. I don’t think I’d ever want to stop.”
Jennifer Kropf, Welcome to Fae Cafe

“Philosophy cannot be taught; it is the application of the sciences to truth.”
Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo

Marianne Williamson
“What is a princess, and what is a queen? Why is the princess often a pejorative description of a certain type of woman, and the word queen hardly ever applied to women at all? A princess is a girl who knows that she will get there, who is on her way perhaps but is not yet there. She has power but she does not yet wield it responsibly. She is indulgent and frivolous. She cries but not yet noble tears. She stomps her feet and does not know how to contain her pain or use it creatively.

A queen is wise. She has earned her serenity, not having had it bestowed on her but having passed her tests. She has suffered and grown more beautiful because of it. She has proved she can hold her kingdom together. She has become its vision. She cares deeply about something bigger than herself. She rules with authentic power.”
Marianne Williamson, A Woman's Worth
