i don’t even know where to start ahhh!! this book was literally AMAZING not even exaggerating. this is DEFINITELY my new favourite book, if i had one in the first place. everything about it was sooo perfect. from the first chapter up to the last… just incredible. i am glad that it didn’t take ages for the book to begin but it went straight to the story and gradually built the world. as for the characters, i absolutely love violet, she’s so cool!! i love the dragons, tairn is so funny and andarna is so cute !! i loved the chapter where she bonded to the both of them, such a powerful moment!! then there’s dain… i in fact do NOT like him, particularly DISLIKE him actually. he was kind of annoying for trying to get violet out of the rider’s quadrant but betraying her and sending her to almost certain death along with the ‘traitors’ was just so horrible. and the fact that he read her thoughts without her knowing and without asking her for consent just makes me so mad. i love all her friends, rhiannon, ridoc, sawyer… they are such good friends. and then there’s liam… he was such a good friend to violet. his death absolutely devastated me. i did know something about liam and dying, i had seen this fanart of him earlier today, at least i believed it to be him, laying next to his dragon, dying… i thought it might’ve been in iron flame, not so soon… and then xaden. first of all, THAT’S MY MAN!!! it’s violent xaden endgame don’t even talk to me they’re everything, i need what they have thank you very much. AND THE CLIFFHANGER!!! HELLO???? but i kind of knew something was up with brennan cause i’d seen a quote from xaden to brennan earlier today, again, so yeah. i’m gonna start reading iron flame as soon as possible but i’m kind of scared cause my friend says it ends with a cliffhanger and this time we’ll actually have to wait. but yeah um this will be my whole personality for a while now!!

So I was going through this horrible reading slump... I started rereading this, ended up at like page 90 and just stopped. THANKFULLY I got out of it and bingeddd!!! I will be rereading Iron Flame too soon. Probably another reread in January right before Onyx Storm comes out. This book is just so entertaining! Dare I say Violet x Xaden > Feyre x Rhysand... Sorry not sorry oops. I loved rereading this keeping all the dan theories in mind. Plus, this time I knew about Xaden's second signet and actually paid attention to it, like when Violet would think something and Xaden would anticipate and Vi would be so confused like not realising she 'said it out loud'. Anyway, I cannot stop recommending this I absolutely love all the dragons, Liam and Deigh's death destroyed me once again, that would be all thank you very much. ...more "
