I just really don’t like that they speak in modern slang/phrases. It’s so weird to me to hear this big scary legendary king speak like this^ and to have a mystical powerful Fae talk about pigging out on a pizza😂 I think I prefer my fantasy to not be modern…although fourth wing was fairly modern and I enjoyed that. Idk
