UGH IT WAS SO GOOD like i sobbed so so so much while reading this. the beginning in the mountains and in the cave was something i didn’t expect or know i needed so much. i feel like we got absolutely nothing on vaughn in all of the other books which i think it was nice to see into his past now. also THE NICKNAMES in this book were absolutely AMAZING. mishka (little bear) literally was so perfect for vaughn but VOLCHONOK (little wolf) WAS THE BEST. the reason it was absolutely incredible was because of the first time yulian and vaughn met they were arguing and then yulian said i bet you don’t even speak russian and then vaughn called him a rabid dog but he said the wrong word for dog so he actually said rabid wolf and they argued about it but this nickname was just so freaking cute. also the danika thing was so so so shocking like i knew it was coming since we were told in the other books that vaughns long term girlfriend cheated on him with one of his enemies and proceeded to send him a video but like wow. also when we got the whole truth from when yulian went to new york after he healed after the cave and after they kissed broke my heart to see vaughn standing there with a girl and then she kisses him and then right after he gets a call that his mom is dead and his sister was in an accident. i cried. and when we find out that before this vaughn went to the hospital and then kissed yulian while he was in his coma and then his mom came in and started telling vaughn how he needs to go away and never see yulian again and she made vaughn promise as a dying woman’s wish because yarslov would kill vaughn. well… no problem now because yarslov is dead!! yay this is the third book ive read in a week where the mmc has committed patricide!! so off topic but i read the second epilogue through tears. it was nikobran’s wedding and i could not hold it together and especially at the end when vaughn asked yulian to marry him. that was amazing because yulian was just thinking about how the last time he brought up marriage to vaughn and his family his dad said that yulian still needed to prove himself to him. and when he asked gareth the best way to propose and gareth said don’t yulian was absolutely shattered but then when vaughn proposed vaughn said that he told his dad and gareth to say that so yulian wouldn’t propose first and ruin his plan 😭😭. i’m also kind of sad we didn’t get as much gareth feature as i hoped BUT WE HAVE JETHRO AND CYRUS PRACTICALLY CONFIRMED. like cyrus was literally staking a “nerd with frameless glasses” does that sound familiar to anyone… JETHRO. and the picture cy had of him and the nerdy guy but when he was like thirteen crave the villain is going to be an absolutely insane book i really hope we get more kayden features in it id love that!! also i loved the bond that yulian and alya had because they only had each other and lukas and mikailo were kind of jerks but at least at the end lukas helped plan for yulian to kill yarslov (in cold blood by the way) and i like lukas for that. i didnt really like yulian’s mom after she slapped him that one time but nothing can compare to how much i hate yarslov. like even at the summer camp at the beginning when vaughn could see him kicking and punching a poor defenseless yulian and there was nothing he could do about it. also it just kept getting worse out of all of the people to see yulian and vaughn in new york why did it have to be yarslov. he took of that picture of yulian and vaughn and sent to vaughn’s parents and then proceeded to beat yulian half to death. seriously. he broke several of his bones and gave him a concussion and then left him to freeze but vaughn obviously came to save him!! but then in russia when they stayed with maks and anton AHH i need their book i wish we got one for them too. also when vaughn blew up zver in retaliation to yulian sending him the video of him and danika… wow. there is just so so so much i loved about this book like i don’t have any other way of saying i’m in love with this book. i give it a ten star rating and that will never change. i love love love love vaughn and yulian so so much!! ...more "
