He remains calm and patient, does not look for reasons for his current condition. He kinda considers it ,,normal'', which is highly ironic. Instead of looking for reasons or trying to trasform into old form, or do something as simple and expected as panicking, he concerns himself with thoughts about his family and their ,,unfortunate situation'', when in reality he is the ACTUAL one who is truly miserable.
