I have said it once and I will say it over and over again: the way this author writes is phenomenal and her plot building, character development, and world building is amazing.
Additionally, as a disabled person, the characters in this book made me feel beyond seen. It is rare to see characters such as Wylan or Kaz in fantasy-action media who are genuinely powerful with and without their disabilities. These characters are likeable and are clearly not introduced only for the purpose of diversity. They are interesting and three dimensional, and I hope the future of fantasy keeps including diversity like this.
I’m not religious, but I pray every night for a third book to be released. This is actually a piece of art and I’m excited to read more or Leigh Bardugo’s books!...more
