If, however, I understand racism as a system into which I was socialized, I can receive feedback on my problematic racial patterns as a helpful way to support my learning and growth.
Growing and improving is not a bad thing or a sign that there was something inherently bad about you before. Being open to learning and willing to accept criticism and grow your mindset and world view is truly challenging, but completely worth it. You can expand your worldview, whether you’re 3 or 83.
