"Things are finally starting to happen, but to be honest...I thought by the way book 2 ended this would be more action filled. I've also counted up to 7 povs, so i'm really not happy with the constant back and forth with every chapter. (Silla, Saga, Hekla, Rey, Jonas, Queen Signe, and Kassandar so far have POVs)" — Feb 19, 2026 08:29AM

Except... My stomach knots at the image of those intelligent eyes
He doesn't know her name. He literally just laid eyes on her, but yep, he suddenly can't imagine harm coming to her because she's beautiful and noticed obvious things that somehow makes her 'smart'. I'm literally tired of men in these books taking one look, having some basic assumptions, and then from 0 to 100 they want to essentially protect/stalk/lust after her. why??? cause she's pretty? I need more concrete reasons, like skip the 'he wants in her pants cause she has a pretty face', and say he's intrigued because she wiggled her way onto a closed off crime scene and is investigating outside the scope jurisdiction. That's more believable.
