"I’m finally returning to this after not touching it for months. Some of it is intriguing but I hate to say some of it feels kind of like a slog. Maybe it’s because certain sections don’t really apply to me (like the religious section which is the one I just closed out) or because I already know and have reflected on some of the more obvious components. "I really only have motivation to read this when I’m not actively teaching because otherwise it’s like brain overload. Reading it now it’s partially inspiring but also I can’t help but feel like a lot of this is geared toward middle/high school teachers. In elementary there’s not a lot of room for a cosmopolitan style. I’d like to see more focus on building relationships w neoindigenous elementary kids" — Apr 09, 2026 12:23PM
