"I have completed the Inferno and the Purgatorio. Am currently on hiatus. This is a lengthy read (or perhaps I am just a slow reader), but enjoyable, though it will require the translator’s copious notes to understand much of it, as it contains many allusions to history, medieval cosmology, classical myths, Scholastic theology and Aristotelian philosophy. This a great epic poem, but is to be studied and savored." — Jun 17, 2025 08:54PM
