"Okay, so the funniness is gone. Not that it’s not entertaining anymore, because it is, but a book that prides itself on “making every adult laugh out loud” I feel like it should at least keep making me blow air out my nose—which it isn’t. I also literally can’t seem to give one (1) single shit about any of these characters, I don’t know. Kind of a let-down to be honest." — Sep 10, 2025 02:51AM

"Okay, so I’m beginning to understand why this book has some not-so-great reviews. I still like it quite a bit, but what I liked especially about the book was the eeriness—and it feels like that’s just fading in and out. Every other chapter, the book seems to become a TGGTVV-esque historical fiction rather than the horror story with historical elements I came for. Bummer! The writing is just a little worse too." — Aug 27, 2025 09:04AM
