"So far, I’m concerned with Orwell’s portrayal of women. Hoping this turns into a critique. Also, so far, I see this book as less relevant in current times than books like Handmaid’s Tale which show how easy it is for a democratic society to slip into totalitarianism rather than a society that was simply taken over militaristically.
