Bacon talks about two types of minds one type notice different in things and get lost in details the other they see resemblance sometimes ones that might not even be there and focus so much on these similarities and lose the bigger picture he describes these minds as discursive and lofty هاي اني ههههه لان اثناء القراءة جنت مركزة على أوجه التشابه بين the crisis Bacon was describing in his time and the crisis we are facing right now.

Bacon wrote this book in a time when people followed philosophers and scholars blindly treating their words as the absolute truth without actually testing them or questioning them. science right now is too advanced research are being reviewed, tested, and constantly challenged before it's published publicly
But I don’t think the issue disappeared it only changed its shape, the crisis we are facing now is not so different. Minds are heavily influenced and most opinions feels adopted rather than formed… isn’t this what was bacon criticizing? People accepting what is given to them because it’s easier and more familiar

I saw it as modern world problem and that we as a generation are slowly losing individuality
Bacon does talk about these external influences and he goes further. He says that these tendencies are a part of the human nature itself. The human mind prefers the familiar, the easier, the safer, the more comfortable path we prefer quick explanation and ready-made answers and this is what really made something click for me. this is not a new problem created by social media or anything like that. It has always been there. And Bacon doesn’t claim we can completely get rid of these tendencies. But at least we can acknowledge them and recognize them ...more "
