"I've read the second part/book now.
My biggest gripe with this second part is that Chloe is actually locked up a lot of the time making it boring.
The author tries to remedy this with different perspectives and her sneaking out or taking up opportunities when she can. It does work but it takes a while to get there so the first half a slog.
I mean it's fine, the story is cohesive but I was slow with this one." — Sep 28, 2026 05:16AM
