"dry AF. some interesting facts but it’s quite repetitive and just seems to go on and on listing these facts. it’s too flat without any variety of pacing or tone. i tried skipping chaters to see if other topics may hold my attention better but no suck luck.

"i definitely got more sucked in the further along i read. much of the wording, phrases and references are over my head but i got the gist and just kept going. would love to see a film adaptation or any accompanying sketches or illustrations to better understand his burrow. and it’d just make for a great film. a sort of 1930s The Fugitive. i may go back and reread the first 10% to better understand the context." — Jan 26, 2026 06:23PM
