“Watch, how the sun
slowly rises
from behind my ear

new lines, new countries
spring up in my palms

my rough hair
become swaying silk

and all the leaves
in my body
become lusher than fruits.”
― Sanober Khan, A Thousand Flamingos

“Relations are like leaves in a plant. Some green, some dried. Just shook yourself, and all the dried ones will fall.”
― Alok Jagawat

“Are ye the ghosts of fallen leaves, O flakes of snow, For which, through naked trees, the winds A-mourning go?”
― John Banister Tabb
