(I am actually just reading from my own full version KJV, and not the edition listed.) It had been a while since I first read it through (2003-2004) and I wanted to do it again taking my time to get more out of it. I started by reading the first three gospels (Matthew, Mark & Luke) the book of Acts, & Paul's Epistles to the Romans, 1st & 2nd epistle to the Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, etc. After reading all the epistles by Paul, Peter, James, John and Jude, I read the Gospel of John and currently I'm reading/studying the book of Revelation. I'm trying to get sort of a more chronological sense of how the early church experienced these testimonies and accounts as they were written and distributed. I'm getting a lot more out of it this time. In Paul's epistles there are many things hard to understand, that some wrest to their own destruction as Peter says in his epistles. If they are hard to understand it is only because they are deep. With the Lord's help it is becoming clearer in my mind. My current study of Revelation with the aid of Stephen Bohr's lectures is really making the symbolic language come alive. Its funny how all the symbols in Revelations are found throughout the old and new testaments and how so few people today ever bother to search them out and their contextual meanings, myself included. We should know better, the Apocalypse as its called in the latin languages means the revealing just like the title is in English. I guess its simply a matter of 'Seeking and finding' Anything worth getting is worth working for....more
