Summary-

Summary-
Minty Fresh was outside playing when he saw something in the woods. He goes to see what it was, when he finds a note on a tree that he’s never seen before in his life. He reads the note and the note says ‘’only my goldfish loves me’’. Minty tries to figure out who would write that and put it in the tree. While Minty keeps looking around the tree for more clues, he spots a little boy. Minty starts walking toward the little boy the little boy turns back and runs toward the back of the woods. Minty chases the little boy until he can’t see the boy anymore. Minty sees a house and she looks through the window and she sees the little boy. Minty goes to the door and tries to open it but its locked. She looks back through the window and asks the little boy to let him in. The boy goes to the door and lets minty in. When minty walks in she finds a note that says ‘’I put a curse on my friend and its starting to work’’. Minty ask the little boy if he wrote it but the little boy says ‘’ no, I found it in a tree in the woods’’. Minty and the boy became detective buddies and they solve the mysteries together.

Minty Fresh- the main character, she is Raymond’s (the little boy) best friend. She finds the notes in the tree and solves the mysteries with Raymond. Her best friend though is Paz. She gets bullied by Paz’s other friends though when they go to the pool together sometimes. Minty’s favorite color is blue and she wears blue a lot.

Raymond- Raymond his the little boy that Minty finds in the woods, He finds notes to and he solves the mysteries with Minty. He is probably the second main character. And his best friend is Minty. Raymond’s favorite colors are red and green.

Setting of the book-
Outside is where it mostly took place because that’s where they found the notes, and that’s where they spied on Minty’s older sister Thea.

The conflict of the book-
The conflict of the book is that there trying to figure who, where, when, and why someone is writing the notes that Minty and Raymond found in the woods in a tree that they’ve never seen before in their life.

Resolution of the conflict-
The resolution of the conflict is that they spy on different people to see why they would have a reason to be writing the notes in the secret tree. That’s pretty much the solution to finding out who wrote the notes.

Recommendations-
They book was very good I would probably read again sometime ...more "
