This is such a great series! I seldom find series that keep me interested, but this one is remarkable. Great writing, great story. The characters are so real and the wisdom shared by many of the characters, especially by an old slave named Sarah, almost bring tears to my eyes. I highly recommend these books. If you don’t like reading books about the Civil War, you will like these stories I’m sure.
