This is a brief, provocative, and opinionated view. I learned a lot by reading it, even though I did not agree with all of Fukuyama's assertions and ideas. But then, I have often argued that I learn more from people with whom I disagree than from those with whom I do agree. As long as the disagreeing ideas are stated intelligently, with backing evidence. And so I recommend this book to everyone -- especially as it is short and easy to read. You may discover that whatever you thought "liberalism" meant, you are wrong. (That happened to me.)
