"I am liking the book so far but I have one gripe about Alice Hoffman's crutch word in this book, "for". It fine if its sprinkled in but almost every page so far its been "Maria was a special child, for she had the gift of the sight." or "Magic could be found in many places, for magic reveals itself to those who are deserving."
