"Joshua Bloom's Black Against Empire was very informative. Not only, did the author thoroughly explain the political affiliations that allowed the Black Panther party to form and thrive for the short period that it did, but he explained the education and political backdrop of each of its leaders and prominent figures. Great book for someone who wants to learn about the political climate of the Civil Rights Movement." — May 26, 2018 11:41AM
