"Jack B Moore painted W.E.B Du Bois as a prominent figure in early 20th century black politics, including that he was one of the founding members of the NAACP, and that he was a champion for the Pan-Africanist cause in general. The author helps make the connection between the mentorship he came under in his formative years and his eventual conversion to a socialist world view more clear." — May 26, 2018 11:48AM

"Joshua Bloom's Black Against Empire was very informative. Not only, did the author thoroughly explain the political affiliations that allowed the Black Panther party to form and thrive for the short period that it did, but he explained the education and political backdrop of each of its leaders and prominent figures. Great book for someone who wants to learn about the political climate of the Civil Rights Movement." — May 26, 2018 11:41AM

"Henri Lefebvre's The Sociology of Marx was a difficult read. While still attempting to understand the Dialectical Model, I found myself comparing the difference between his use of the term praxis and my understanding of the meaning of pragmatism." — May 26, 2018 11:37AM
