Just let it be not OK.
I’ve had so many discussions with people about this. Interacting with someone that has lost a love one is tricky and awkward at best, but something I’ve discovered is that a few things are very important:1. Not try to fix anything and let things be. Someone died and was lost and nothing you say or do will fix that. You have to just sit with the person and let things be not okay.2. Create a space that allows someone to talk about their loved one without making that person a sad thing. People just want to be able to talk about their person without a constant reminder that they’re gone and it’s a tragedy. 3. Don’t be afraid to ask about the person. Even if they don’t want to talk about them, it means a lot that someone cares enough to ask.
