"After the last few years, it's a book I exactly needed to pick up. Rediscovering the fervent love Saint Josemaria has in his faith, his strong devotion of prayer even (and most needed) in his toughest times, I can relate to.
He's bringing me back to God and making us closer again through his experiences. (I'm half asleep on this so I may tweek it later)"

“You cut yourself off from all sorts of experiences because you tell yourself you are ‘not that sort of person’”
“But, I’m not.”
“How do you know? You’ve done nothing, been nowhere. How do you have the faintest idea what kind of person you are?”
Jojo Moyes, Me Before You

“If Gilbert had been asked to describe his ideal woman the description would have answered point for point to Anne … He had made up his mind, also, that his future must be worthy of its goddess. … But he meant to keep himself worthy of Anne’s friendship and perhaps some distant day her love; and he watched over word and thought and deed as jealously as if her clear eyes were to pass in judgment on it.”
L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea

“I guess you've got a spice of temper," commented Mr. Harrison, surveying the flushed cheeks and indignant eyes opposite him. "It goes with hair like yours, I reckon”

“I'd like to add some beauty to life . . . I'd love for people to have some little joy or happy thought that would never have existed if I hadn't been born.”

“She let go of me, kissed the top of my head, and brushed her hands down her apron. ‘I wish your sister was here. It seems wrong to have a celebration without her.’

Not to me it didn’t. Just for once, I was quite enjoying being the focus of attention. It might sound childish, but it was true. I loved having Will and Dad laughing about me. I loved the fact that every element of supper – from roast chicken to chocolate mousse – was my favourite. I liked the fact that I could be who I wanted to be without my sister’s voice reminding me of who I had been.”
