“أَما وَالَّذي يَتلو السَرائِرَ كُلَّها. . وَيَعلَمُ ما تُبدي بِهِ وَتَغيبُ
لَقَد كُنتِ مِمَّن تَصطَفي النَفسُ خُلَّةً . . لَها دونَ خِلّانِ الصَفاءِ حُجوبُ
وَإِنّي لَأَستَحيِيكِ حَتّى كَأَنَّما . . عَلَيَّ بِظَهرِ الغَيبِ مِنكِ رَقيبُ
تَلَجّينَ حَتّى يَذهَبَ اليَأسُ بِالهَوى . . وَحَتّى تَكادَ النَفسُ عَنكِ تَطيبُ
سَأَستَعطِفُ الأَيامَ فيكِ لَعَلَّها . . بِيَومِ سُروري في هَواكِ تَؤوبُ”
