He crossed the river anyway, but when he got to the other side of the river, the gorgons swept down and picked Frank up. Then Percy controlled the water and smashed the gorgons. They got to camp and went to find Octavian, who let Percy be a member of the legion. In the war battle that the legions put on, Percy, Hazel and Frank won the battle for the Fifth Cohart, which had never happened before. Frank's dad, Mars, ordered lean, agile Percy and clumsy Frank to go on a mission to Alaska. Frank chose dark-haired Hazel to go too. Mars gave Frank a dragon toothed spear which he could only use three times. On their quest to Alaska, they met Phineas (an evil blind man who can see the future). They made a bet with him and he lost so he gave them the location of Alcyoneus's lair. They found a red feathered harpie who likes to read but gets picked on by the bigger, white feathered harpies. They bring her along on their journey when they meet Queen Hylla, their preator's sister. They make a jail break and go all the way to Alaska on Hazel's horse. They find Alcyoneus and Death is chained up so Geas's minions can get out of the underworld. Frank uses his life stick and burns almost all of it to set Death free. They hook Alcyoneus to Hazel's horse and take him out of Alaska so they can kill him because he is immortal in Alaska. Frank uses his family's special transforming ability to defeat him.

I really liked this book because it is by the same author that wrote the other books I really thought it was interesting. ...more "
