This book is about a kid named Greg he is having a hard time with school. Him and Rowley aren't friends any more because now Rowley has a girl friend. There is a group of kids that live in the woods that chase Greg a lot. Greg and Rowley aren't friends any more until the end of the book. Their is a dog that tries to get them to step in his poop. The dog even chases them all the way to school. Greg is trying to make new friends so he has someone to help him with his books. Since Greg cant fiend a friend he gets a roller bag.

Main characters-names and descriptions
Greg- Greg is a kid that is having a hard time to find more friends then what he already has. He is kind of a nerd in this book.
Rodrick- Rodrick is a kid that is kind of living the dream. He plays the drums in a band, he also has his van that he got for the band.
Rowley- Rowley is one of those kids that are always wimpy. He is always talking about this guy named Joshey.
Many- Many is a little kid that doesn't get into trouble ever. Many always blames his older brothers.

Include setting of the book
The book takes place in a town in a house and a school. Most of the time the book takes place at school. Greg is the only kid that doesn't bully a lot. He only kind of bullied Rowley.

Resolution of conflict
Probably the biggest problem is when Grammy lost her diamond ring. She lost it when she died it wasn't on her. So then people started to look for the ring people has been looking for it for a year. After a little bit Greg found the ring. Greg hid the ring in his moms closet so no one can find it but his mom.

Your opinion of the book
I think that this book is a really good book. It think this is the best book out of all of the other books. I like how there is a funny book, and it is written it makes it easier to read. I think if you haven't reed this book yet you need to read it.
