An odd book and maybe Arthur Mac Aedan did contribute to the King Arthur legend but it's doubtful that the legend is based on any one individual or even several historical figures but more likely much of it is idealized fiction. King Arthur a figurehead and something for us to try to aspire to. I nearly didn't finish this book it often boring and I'm left wondering about much of the research but do accept the legend has been bastardized to suit the Christian Church and other interests.
