"Burnham Beeches - this was a good autumal walk. Lots of gravel paths but one very muddy section if it has rained! How we managed to stay upright I don't know. The car park is large but we went on a Tuesday and it was almost full. You only have to pay for parking on weekends and bank holidays. The walk was a bit shorter than stated in the book." — Nov 17, 2020 12:44PM

"24/04/2021 - Keyhaven - we did this walk on a nice enough day but up on the sea wall for a couple of miles, the wind was blowing so fiercely! It just felt such a struggle in the wind and we were very grateful when the walk went inland. We ate at the Chequers Inn which had a nice pub garden. Even though we went on a Saturday the car park was not overly busy when we got back." — Apr 27, 2021 10:24AM

“I would like to believe this is a story I'm telling. I need to believe it. I must believe it. Those who can believe that such stories are only stories have a better chance.
If it's a story I'm telling, then I have control over the ending. Then there will be an ending, to the story, and real life will come after it. I can pick up where I left off.
It isn't a story I'm telling.
It's also a story I'm telling, in my head, as I go along.
Tell, rather than write, because I have nothing to write with and writing is in any case forbidden. But if it's a story, even in my head, I must be telling it to someone. You don't tell a story only to yourself. There's always someone else.
Even when there is no one.”
― The Handmaid’s Tale

“You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry,
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin,
You'll make your real friends,
These cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.”
